Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association is made up of more than 200 Leadership Raleigh graduates. Members are from a variety of backgrounds that share a common commitment to do what they can to help make our community strong.
LRAA MEMBERSHIP: TAKE ADVANTAGE!
The Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association continues its success in community leadership, and we invite you to become active in this organization. Each day, LRAA promotes the mission of Leadership Raleigh by presenting opportunities for members to meet and keep in touch with community issues. From socials at Jillian's to the LR21 Graduation, membership opportunities and benefits (your chance to help our community) abound.
Between work and family life, we all have limited time to offer. LRAA makes it easy for members to engage in volunteer opportunities and networking events. Our convenient lunches and evening receptions offer occasions to meet business and government leaders and non-profits that give back to the Raleigh community.
The backbone of our organization is, of course, our members with their depth of professional experience and vast community involvement. We offer a strong, diverse group with the skills to help organizations through service, whether as board members, commission appointees or volunteer supporters.
We also offer an online class directory, postings of leadership and volunteer opportunities in the community as well as updates on the current Leadership Raleigh class. In the near future, we'll be unveiling our improved website to provide even more opportunities and information.
Join LRAA to take advantage of these benefits! For more information about the LRAA or if you have questions about joining the LRAA, please visit http://www.leadershipraleigh.org/index.shtml or contact Mary Ann Foley at 919.664.7034.
Sincerely,
Camden Webb, LRAA President, Class of 2001

Do you enjoying meeting and networking with people from other countries? Do you like to get together with locals who enjoy travel, international cuisine and/or discussing world affairs? Then join the International Affairs Council (IAC), a local nonprofit founded in 1973 by Terry Sanford that annually welcomes more than 500 internationals to the Triangle region. IAC allows Triangle residents to serve as citizen ambassadors for these international visitors, offering them a home-cooked meal, escorting them around town and hosting them for professional meetings in their offices.
The IAC also provides a number of stimulating events each year, to which members receive priority invitations. The IAC offers corporate memberships in addition to individual memberships.
Do you have an opportunity for our members to become involved with your organization? Contact Perrin Burton 919-716-7171, perrin.burton@firstcitizens.com or Christine Craig 919-350-2951, ccraig@wakemed.org. We are happy to list opportunities in the newsletter.
